After barely making it out of their pool on Saturday, the Sheboygan A's easily took the championship game of the PLAY BALL! Tournament over the Ashwaubenon Lookouts.
In pool games on Saturday, May 21, Sheboygan, the Appleton Legends, and Manitowoc Bandits all went 1-1 against each other at Wildwood Park in Sheboygan. The A's advanced by allowing the fewest runs of the group. Meanwhile in Ashwaubenon, the Lookouts and Branch Blaze played a two team pool with Ashwaubenon sweeping the two games between the teams. On Sunday, the A's and Lookouts met in the championship game in Branch. Sheboygan scored early and often putting up 23 runs and Brad Rindfleisch pitched a no-hitter in the 5 inning game. Sheboygan's Jacob Neese was named tournament MVP. He went 5 for 8 with 2 homeruns and 7 RBI's over three games. SCORES: Saturday, May 21 Pool Games

The 2021 PLAY BALL! Tournament (formerly Lakeshore Invitational Tournament) is in the books. The newly expanded tournament featured nine teams playing at four locations over two days. Pool play took place on Saturday, May 22 with the Appleton Legends, Ashwaubenon Lookouts, and Little Chute Bandits playing in Appleton; the Branch Blaze, Manitowoc Bandits, and Sparta Miller playing in Branch; and the Kewaskum A's, Sheboygan A's, and West Allis Nationals playing in Sheboygan. The top four teams played a championship bracket on Sunday, May 23 in Manitowoc. Branch, Little Chute, and Sheboygan won their respective pools with Manitowoc advancing via a wild card berth.
Manitowoc and Little Chute met in the Championship game with Manitowoc repeating as champs. Manitowoc's Chris Rohr was named tournament MVP going 3-11 with three walks and two RBI's in four games over the weekend. Full recap... The 6th Annual Lakeshore Invitational Tournament was held on Saturday, August 29 at Municipal Field in Manitowoc. This year's tournament was postponed earlier in the summer due to COVID and condensed, featuring three teams: the co-hosts Branch Blaze and Manitowoc Bandits and the Little Chute Bandits.
The Manitowoc Bandits went 2-0 to win the tournament. Manitowoc's Jackson Schmitz was named the tournament MVP. The 2019 Lakeshore Invitational Tournament was held on Sunday, June 2 in Branch and Manitowoc. The Branch Blaze, Little Chute Bandits, and Rubicon Red Sox played at Branch and the Manitowoc Bandits, De Pere Dodgers, and Green Bay Storm played at Municipal Field in Manitowoc. In the end, the De Pere Dodgers defeated the Little Chute Bandits 12-2 to come away with their 3rd consecutive LIT Championship. The Dodger's Luke Gajewski was named tournament MVP for his gaudy offensive numbers on the day. In three games, Luke had seven hits in 11 at bats, scoring seven runs, stealing six bases, and driving in two. He also had a double. The 4th annual Lakeshore Invitational Tournament happened on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Along with the co-hosts Branch Blaze and Manitowoc Heat, the tournament featured the Two Rivers Polar Bears, the defending tournament champion De Pere Dodgers, the Plymouth Flames, and the first time entrant Appleton Legends. Appleton and De Pere won their pools and squared off in the Championship game, with De Pere earning consecutive tournament titles. The 3rd Lakeshore Invitational Tournament took place on Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Manitowoc and Branch. The field consisted of the co-host Branch Blaze and Manitowoc Heat as well as the Two Rivers Polar Bears, Plymouth Flames, De Pere Dodgers, and Kewaskum A's. Two Rivers and De Pere won their respective pools and faced off in the Championship game with De Pere coming away with the win. Dodger's player Connor Rutherford was named tournament MVP by going 4 for 13 at the plate with a double, a homerun, and 5 RBI's.

The 2016 Lakeshore Invitational Baseball Tournament was held on Sunday, June 5. This year's participants were the co-hosts Branch Blaze and Manitowoc Heat and the De Pere Dodgers, Little Chute Bandits, Plymouth Flames, and Two Rivers Polar Bears. The championship game featured pool winners De Pere and Little Chute. However, the game was called after a half inning of play due to rain and both teams were declared co-champions.

The inaugural Lakeshore Invitational Baseball Tournament took place on Saturday, May 16, 2015. The competing teams were the co-hosts Branch Blaze and Manitowoc Heat as well as the Clintonville Athletics, Little Chute Bandits, and Two Rivers Polar Bears.
The Branch pool was won by Clintonville with a 2-0 record. Two Rivers won the Manitowoc pool with a 2-0. Two Rivers defeated Clintonville in the championship game. Parker Mindell of Clintonville was named Tournament MVP. |
