Branch 16, Plymouth 15 (10 inn.)

PLYMOUTH — The Blaze plated a pair of runs in the 10th while Plymouth could only muster one in the bottom half of the extra inning on Wednesday.

Branch (1-1 overall) tied the game in the top of the ninth to send the game into extra innings after taking an initial 6-0 lead following the first. The Flames finally nabbed the lead after a pair of three-run sixth and seventh innings.

Branch's Steve Linzmeier, who was 4-for-6 with four RBIs and three runs, drove in Peter Liermann for the first run of the 10th with an RBI double and Linzmeier eventually came home on a passed ball. Justin Otto drove in Travis Chell to tie the game in the ninth.

A.J. Lorrigan received the win for Branch after facing 10 batters in two innings. He gave up the one run in the 10th.
